Hexagon is a big, multifaceted player in the tech market—and while database management is not the heart of their operations, it's still a vital part of Hexagon's clockwork internal functioning, handled by the IT department. And, as it always happens, when the mechanism of a company grows both in scope and complexity, there is always room for optimization and adoption of new tools. That's the story of the Israel branch of Hexagon, where Vladimir Gorscov, IT Manager, sought for a way to overcome a few issues that accumulated over time.
In other words, there was a need to find a single feature-rich IDE for Oracle Database that could help the company's IT staff get their daily tasks done much faster. A search led Vladimir to dbForge Studio for Oracle, which promised a few notable advantages over the previously adopted products. The interface was clean and simple. The feature set was hefty enough to meet his demands. The detailed documentation was a nice addition that would help master the Studio's key capabilities in virtually no time.
It was no surprise that the Studio easily lived up to its promise. The first month gave a nice 20% growth in overall productivity. Considering that the database management process had already been set up quite well, despite the issues mentioned above, it was a solid achievement. Most of all, Vladimir noted the simplicity of the UI and the functional power under the hood.
Now, let's take a look at the top three features singled out by Vladimir.
